Okay, I know the prevailing attitude here will be that this thread is of absolutely NO concern.
But the powers-that-be at PissArmy have prevented me from logging-in by not giving me a password. Whatever the problems are, freedom of expression should be paramount.
There are some very important issues that we (and I) are dealing with now that The BUSH years are finally finished.
Like freedom of expression. Like freedom from being harassed. Like everything thing you would expect NOT to happen in an American-style of government--whether it is in a post-9/11 world or not.
(you know, I strongly believe our government's main objective should be protecting us from any internal or external hostile threats to our inalienable, god-given freedoms. Currently, It seems as though government grants these freedoms on an individual basis. And valuable resources are being squandered on harassing American citizens who pose no threat whatsoever.)
I had assumed that PissArmy would support the basic doctrine of TOLERANCE.
After following their "rules and responsibilities," I am being banned for saying things that NEED to be said in an OPEN and FREE society.
You may not know that my life is now a living hell, partly as a result of being crucified for idiotic internet posting which anyone with a brain would realize was not supposed to be taken seriously. However, there are those with reptilian brains who view everything literally. They react w/o thinking. They're thin-skinned and weak. Some have no sense of humor. Or some may not recognize that my posting--albeit non-humorous--did NOT contain anything remotely "harmful."
So--it would seem that with the new Obama administration taking office today, that there should be changes. You know: Hope, civil liberties, freedom to say what you want within reasonable guidelines.
Is this so out-of- line with the PissArmy forum?
AL & co have had their fun with their anti-Bush tirade musical releases. I have made my views clear, in fact by publicly asserting that I have registered THOUSANDS of republican voters and even voted for GWB in both elections.
And this is the thanks I get!!!!
Part of evolving civil democracy is having the ability to be tolerant of differing opinions. I stand up for AL's right to publicly renounce Bush.
Accordingly, there should be TOLERANCE to let me express my opinions within the realm of their forum rules.
Let's just see--with a new Administration they favor--whether the PissArmy's actions speak louder than words.
Do they embrace tolerance?
Or are they still mired in the past--filled with hate and intolerance from all those Bush/Cheney years they despised so much?
I just wonder.... ___________________________ I feel safe in my cars
